Looks great on the counter, not the best seal

Love the look of this thing on the counter and love showing off the Savannah Coffee logo! The container itself feels of high quality metal with a nice texture to it. But the lid is cheap plastic. It's supposed to pump the air out using the middle plunger but it takes a lot of plunging to actually do that, and afterwards it only stays sealed/pumped down for about half a day maybe a day at most. Then the plunger is back at full height and you have to pump it all over again. Very annoying. Would have preferred a simple air-tight lid without the pumping feature. I don't need to worry that my coffee will degrade because I forgot to plunge today. I'm not sure if this thing will keep a seal without pumping the air out so not sure if I'm going to keep it.
